Filter Out | Critical Design | University Project
Filter Out is a prototype web browser plugin designed to filter out news headlines and articles depending on key words which someone finds can cause them to feel anxious. This is a critical design project meaning that it's based off research and isn't a set brief that was answered.
Concept & Design
Based off research today in society people are finding news headlines and articles causing them to feel anxious when reading. Filter Out aims to create both awareness about this negativity while also showing that there is a solution that can be created to help people feel less anxious about going on and reading the news. The animation is an example of how the web browser plugin might work and the warning message gives the user an option to view by telling them why the plugin has hidden this from view. This project is purely critical design it doesn't answer a set brief it's based off research into the topic.
